Starring
Kim Possible
Kim and Ron have been through a lot together, and now, after Kim has given birth to their first child, they look back on their life, how they met, the things they have done, and the places they’ve seen, all of the things that had led up to this memorable day in their lives.
Kim Stoppable was laying in the hospital bed, exhausted, she had just spent eight hours in the delivery room, giving birth to her first child, beside her, was her husband of three years, Ron Stoppable, the only man that ever mattered to her, the love of her life, and the man she had almost lost, more than once, as the nurse came into the room, carrying their new son, the two looked at each other, and smiled,
“You did good, KP, you did real good.” Ron said, his voice was soft, and gentle, today, his life was complete, in his hands, was his son, they had named him James, in honor of Kim’s father, Dr. James Timothy Possible,
“No, honey, we did good.” Kim replied, taking Ron’s hand into her’s and giving it a reassuring squeeze,
“It’s kinda hard to believe that we’ve come this way, all of the things we’ve seen, and done. It’s amazing to me, that after all of that, we’re still alive.” Ron said, wearing his trademark grin,
“We’ve got a lot to be thankful for, Ron, we’ve sealed our lives together, and watched our love for each other grow, you know what, I can still remember that first time we met.” Kim said, letting her mind drift back to pre-K, and under that old tree, where she and Ron had met for the first time.
Flashback; a four year old Kim is staring at the schoolyard bullies:
“Hey, bullies.” Kim hollered out, grabbing the attention of three boys, that had pinned a fourth against the fence. The three boys turned around, to see Kimmie Possible, performing a series of front flips, and leaping high into the air, performing a perfect thrust kick, it landed on the bully that seemed to be the ringleader,
“Okay, that was weird.” Kim said, reaching over for the red ball that the young boy had,
“Thanks.” the boy mumbled,
“What’s your name?” Kim asked,
“Ronnie Stoppable.” Ron replied,
“You’re weird, but I like you.” Kim said, smiling as she took the ball from Ron’s hands, and began bouncing it on her knee as though it were nothing more than a small hackey sack.
Flash forward to the present:
Ron smiled,
“I had thought of posting that we had a new son on the website, but it was kind of already done, Wade had beaten me to the punch.” Ron said, shaking his head,
“Yeah, do remember the first mission we went on?” Kim asked, Ron nodded, he wasn’t quite ready for that one, but, it’s Ron we’re talking about here.
Flashback to the Paisley estate.
Kim had just did a series of jawdropping flips, and tricks, finding the remote to the laser web with her foot,
“Booyah, Kim!” Ron said enthusiastically,
“A cheerleader ?!” The man known as Mr. McHenry said, now standing to his full height,
“That’d be Kim Possible, she can do anything, look us up online, WE’RE WORLDWIDE, BABY !!!” Ron hollered, loud enough that it echoed throughout the cavernous vault they were standing in,
Flash forward to the present:
“Somehow that’s not the way I remember it.” Ron stated flatly, the growling in his stomach heard over his voice,
“Oh, Ron, always thinking with your stomach.” Kim said, smiling, and remembering another ‘Ron moment,’
Flashback to Bueno Nacho:
“What are you doing?” Kim asked, looking at Ron, who was dumping his nachos into his taco, and folding it up,
“Taco, meets nacho, I call it, the naco.” Ron said, smiling, as he held up his creation,
“I call it gross beyond reason.” Kim replied, her face showing repulsion that someone would actually eat something like that.
Flash forward, to the present:
“That was a good time, wasn’t it,” Ron reminisced, his smile growing wider, “but there’s two things that stand out in my mind as being my all-time favorites, the day we started dating, and the day I asked you to marry me.”
Flashback, to a warehouse at bueno Nacho headquarters:
Kim and Ron were tied up to props in the on-site warehouse that stored things from Bueno Nacho’s across the world, the current discussion was on Drakken,
“Drakken finally won, I should’ve stuck to babysitting.” Kim said, hanging her head,
“Alright, KP, this pity fiesta is over, Drakken has not won, he played you. Now, it’s payback time. And you know, there are guys out there that are better for you than Erik, guys that are real, for one thing.”
“You really think there’s a guy out there for me ?” Kim asked, looking at Ron, barely lifting her head, so that she could hide her shame,
“Out there, i-in here.” Ron stammered,
“Oh, really.” Kim said, realizing what Ron was saying to her,
“Yeah, you know, guys like . . .” Ron was cut off by a high pitched, raspy voice,
“Hi.” Rufus said, making his presence known,
“Rufus.” Ron said, his voice changing from love, to surprise,
“Rufus?” Kim said, in a questioning voice, then, like someone switching a light bulb from off, to on, her tone changed to one of happiness, “Rufus, you can save us.”
Flash forward to three years later:
It was a beautiful night, and Ron was walking in the park with Kim, he had been fidgeting with his hands all night, as though something were worrying him,
“Something wrong, hon?” Kim asked, looking at the love of her life, concerned for him.
“No, hey, KP, do you want to sit down for a while?” Ron asked, motioning to a park bench near the small lake in the center of the park,
“Sure.” Kim replied, taking a seat, while Ron remained standing, and in one fluid motion, Ron dropped to one, knee, and withdrew from the pocket of the blazer he was wearing, a dazzling 24 carat diamond and emerald engagement ring,
“Kimberly Ann Possible, tonight, I’m going to do something that every man my age in Middleton would give their right arms for, will you marry me?” Ron asked, making Kim gasp loudly,
“You want me to . . .” Kim asked, unable to find the rest of the words, Ron had just blown her away with his daring, and from the looks of this, he had been planning this all day too,
“Yes, I do, Kim, I want you to marry me, please say yes, and make me the happiest man on Earth.” Ron replied, the look of pure love on his face.
“Yes, yes, a thousand times, yes, Ron, I’ll marry you.” Kim replied, the tears of joy streaking down her face, as she wrapped her arms around Ron’s neck, and kissed him.
Flash forward to the present:
“Yeah, we’ve had some incredible times together, but now, we’re going to have to get ready to pass it on to the next generation.” Kim said, now taking their son into her hands, and smiling at the baby that they had both created through their undying love for each other.
“Yeah, we have, haven’t we.” Ron replied, grinning his goofy grin again,
“The one memory that really stands out for me, is our wedding. That’s something that will be etched into my memory forever.” Kim said, letting her mind go back to the happiest times with Ron she could ever recall,
Flashback to three years ago, and Kim and Ron's wedding:
“For as much as Ronald, and Kimberly have consented to each other, and have proven the same, through the giving, and receiving of a ring, I now have the honor to announce that they are husband, and wife. Ronald, you may now kiss your bride.” the priest said, smiling. Ron lifted up Kim’s veil, and her beautiful jade green eyes locked onto his chocolate orbs, both smiled, before their lips touched, in what would be their first kiss as husband and wife.
Flash forward to the present:
“True, but I still love it when you came home, and told me that I was going to be a father.” Ron replied, his smile getting wider.
Flash back to eight months ago, Ron had just come home:
Ron walked into the living room, the same thing he had done since they had moved into this secluded spot outside of town, it was quiet, and no one gave a second thought about Ron’s hobby of flying, today was no exception, he had taken his old Steerman biplane up for an early morning flight, only to hear Kim’s voice come over the headphones,
“Hey, Ron, why don’t you land that thing, and come inside, I got something to tell you.” she said, her voice excited.
And this is now where he found himself, looking at his wife of almost three years, she had tears of happiness in her eyes, and her smile extended across her face, and to her eyes,
“What’s up, honey?” Ron asked, looking at his wife,
“You’re going to be a father, Ron, I’m pregnant.” Kim replied. Ron let out a loud whoop, and began doing a victory dance around the living room, the thought of being a father had overwhelmed him, but he was liking the idea that there would be another to carry on the family tradition.
Kim knew that the road that lay ahead for them was uncharted territory, but she had always thought that she would make a good mother, now, she had her chance to show the world, what she and Ron had known for years, that Kim Stoppable was ready to write the next chapter in her life, motherhood.
